How important is sleeping in the Virghost household?

Very important. I went into that album trying to create the perfect Virghost album. I think I did just that. I consider this project my magnum opus. This is the album I've been trying to create since I first started making music. It shows every side of me as a songwriter… Rap, Poetry, Melody, etc.

Aviators Theme was again one of your classic iconic records? How do you know when you have written a masterpiece.

I don't even know bro. I just make the music and let the people call it what they want to call it. I did know Aviator's Theme would be special. That's why I put the “Theme” in the title. If you follow my music you know when I put “Theme” in the title it's something serious. But I don't create songs with that mindset. I just write what I feel. If people call it a masterpiece, I'm humbled and appreciative. 

You have a song named after your wife  “Solynya” how has she impacted your life and your music.

I went into this album thinking what she would like and vibe to the most based on what she listens to and I tried to deliver that. She has great taste in music and has a powerful ear. Besides her becoming my wife and the love of my life she became my manager and the event coordinator for the Villematic Hip Hop Showcase in Nashville, a show I started in 2015. She's made me aware of peace, calm, energy, and self-control. Just everything I needed as a man and for who I am as a person, she's literally all of that.

Did you ever think twice about putting her in your music?

Not at all. She was a big reason No Sleep is what it is. I've written 4 Solynya songs. 2 on No Sleep...1 on an EP...and the 4th one on my newest album. That's my wife. I'm not ashamed or afraid to express my love for my woman. I could write a million and one songs about her. Niggas write about everything from drugs, to pimping, to cars...I want to write about my woman.

How do you feel each time a new project is complete?

Relieved. Nervous. Anxious. Excited. A lot of things. I put a lot into my music. I want people to dig it. I'm very personal so that alone is a huge pressure. I never know how people are going to react to it until it comes out so that can be nerve-wracking. But I'm excited more than anything.
