Former Congressman Joe Walsh Tweets Threats to Obama & BLMThe recent killings of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile this week have sparked outrage and anger across the nation, with many people expressing their thoughts through social media, and protests beginning to pop up in many cities via groups like #BlackLivesMatter and more. In Dallas, Texas a peaceful protest was taking place for justice for the lives of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile when gunshots rang out. The gunshots from gunmen resulted in the death of five police officers, while seven police officers were wounded.
Since the shooting, information has been released by Police Chief David Brown, saying that three of the suspects were caught, and the fourth "was upset about Black Lives Matter" and "upset about the recent shootings." Brown also noted that the suspect said he wanted to kill white people, especially white officers. The suspect who has died since then also said that he was not affiliated with any groups and that he did the crime alone.

Since then, everyone has weighed in on the shootings, including former Illinois Congressman Joe Walsh, who had some choice words for President Obama and #BlackLivesMatter via Twitter. In his initial tweet (which has been deleted), he said "3 Dallas Cops killed, 7 wounded. This is now war. Watch out Obama. Watch out black lives matter punks. Real America is coming after you." Walsh then followed up with another tweet saying he wasn't calling for violence against the President, and also blamed #BlackLivesMatter and their efforts for getting cops killed, saying "I wasn't calling for violence against Obama or anyone. Obama's words & BLM's deeds have gotten cops killed . Time for us to defend our cops."
