Gabrielle Union: 'I've Had Eight or Nine Miscarriages'

Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union are what many would refer to as “couple goals.” However, the actress revealed to People Magazine that she and Wade have faced some troubling tribulations when it comes to having children. Union is releasing a memoir titled We’re Going To Need More Wine, which features a variety of essays and stories from the actor’s life in Hollywood. Via People, an exclusive excerpt was revealed where she spoke about having infertility issues.

Union said “I have had eight or nine miscarriages. For three years, my body has been a prisoner of trying to get pregnant— I’ve either been about to go into an IVF cycle, in the middle of an IVF cycle, or coming out of an IVF cycle. Union noted that she never wanted kids until she married Wade and met his three children, saying “there was no place I’d rather be than with them.” Union pointed out that because she struggles with infertility, there is always mystery surrounding whether the star is pregnant or not. Union said “Once a month I look like I'm in my second trimester because I'm bloated. It leads to the questions and it leads to the rumors and anytime I go into a doctor's office I feel like I'm a member of SEAL Team Six undercover because I don't want people to speculate.”
