Review Inside-And Exclusive Download
Right out the gate, you receive a dark 90's style beat that compliments Sunny flow well. A quicker tempo and more aggressive back splash as he seems to portray the urgency of his flow. After that the album flows into a undeniable track called "Everyday Hustle" and that record. Gives you chills, its just good hip hop, sunny stories allow you dive into the life of someone who wants more out of life, vividly told. The chorus is sung by Promise. Which compliments the song well as his voice is refreshing, a light touch to Sunny rasp and grunge. "Feelin Like" has a Chi-town, Texas feel. I mean there is vast difference of how he presents his chorus and that's what we love. "Feelin like" has that bounce and easily has commercial appeal without selling out of even trying. By the time you reach "So High" you have a certain vibe, that takes a certain shift. Which isn't negative but the vibes of what you got from the other records just over matched that one.The scenery was well placed and is a must "smoke one" record. But it just seemed slightly lacking. Coast right into "Coastin" which brings the most uplifting vibe the album has up to this point. A light feel hits your heart, as you reminisce of Cali 96 music. Sunny has the ability to take you wherever he is going. With infectious choruses an a pattern delivery, he knows his stuff. This album just reminds you of retro hip hop pure like natural flow, no effects, no persona, just weed and a rapper. The production is extremely well done. "This feelin" has a dope beat, very commercial, and its instantly one of your favorites beats. Reggie Bean a featured artist kicks it off with a very well placed verse, and just has a vibe that's easy to like. But, what drags and blows the vibe of the record is the chorus, which drops tempo, and pulls your vibe back to what you know. Sunny could of captured that moment and made a real radio record. But pulled back and did what he knows. Which was a let down, kind of missed a big opportunity to shoot out different vibes. Which brings you to "All A Game". One of the funnest, coolest records on the album. This is so 90's that you think you bought and album from that generation. Its greatly refreshing. His production and beats, are flawless. You can tell this guy knows his rap. Although he is switching production styles. His topics and flow steer very close song after song. Which hurts the album, but not the artist. More risk, more reward is what we would of hope more from Sunny. But that being said this whole album is a risk, to whats out. But not to the versatility we already know from Sunny. "He say she say", lacked to capture as the chorus didn't not hold the emotions he may have tried to capture as the lyrics seem emotional and real with every word. But right after that, you get a record that freezes time and creates a vibe that possibly maybe the strongest on the album "Only You". This album is slow motion music, night time on a boulevard thinking about life and how to change it for the better. The last record "its going to rain", Is so big that you cant deny. This guy is destined for great things. Brighter DAYZ has a story, told through skits and well placed lyrics. Sunny doesn't steer to far from the message or flow, but that being told your never  feel disappointed. Some records dive deep into your soul as you can hear the pain, or strength in Sunny's voice. Told through an aggressive deliver and a responsive mind Sunny Marx delivers and album worth noting.
