French Police Kill Possible Terrorist On First Anniversary Of Charlie Hebdo Attack

This is just insane.
According to NY Daily News reports:
Paris cops shot and killed a possible terrorist Thursday after he barged into a police station with a meat cleaver on the one-year anniversary of the Charlie Hebdo terror attack — and officials worry more assailants could be at large.
Officers cleared hundreds of people from the Goutte d’Or neighborhood in Paris’ after the thwarted attack as they hunted for other possible attackers in the area.
Tensions ran high in the multi-ethnic district as expanded the security cordon around the shooting site and ordered shops to close their doors.
A man with wires poking out from his clothes stormed the neighborhood’s police headquarters just after noon on Thursday. He screamed “Allahu Akbar,” which means “God is great” in Arabic and carried a butcher’s knife, said Luc Poignant, a police union official.
An officer shot and killed the man before he could attack anyone in the station. A bomb squad determined the suspected suicide vest was fake.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the people in Paris today as the police could potentially face more threats. We’re glad they were able to stop this guy, even though he didn’t have an operational vest on he clearly wanted to do something if he had that knife.
