Several deputies were on the scene around 10 p.m., demanding that Dykema come out of her house. Sergeant Chris Calderon reportedly noticed the woman looking at him through a broken window, but she quickly disappeared. At this point they decided to force their way inside, where Dykema was waiting for them with "a large sword or machete type weapon." After a failed attempt at stabbing Calderon, she hid again, but deputies quickly noticed "a set of feet standing in the corner of the mobile home, possibly hiding under or behind a blanket," and "a long, silver, shiny sword waving around behind the blanket," according to the statement released by the Hernando County Sheriff's Office. She then moved towards them and was hit with a bean bag round by Sergeant Bill Hillman, but it apparently had no effect on her as she fled to another room unscathed.

The Crisis Response Team was called after a deputy used his "less than lethal shotgun" to hit Dykema in her abdomen and thigh. She reportedly continued to advance at them leaving them no choice but to shoot her. Though after being shot she fled yet again to another satanic-filled room. She was later taken into custody after being tasered.

According to her neighbor Paula Deford, the 47-year-old woman attacked her family as well. "My family has been through hell for two years with this woman. It's just been torment, torment," she told 10 News. The station had released a surveillance video showing Dykema stabbing at Deford's home "with a knife twice" over the past few weeks.Image: Woman Attacks Deputies In Satanic Home Filled w/ 3,714 Weapons Image #3

The next day approximately 3,714 bladed weapons were removed from the mobile home, with about 500 of them in each booby-trapped room. Dykema has since been charged with assault on LEO, three probation violations, resisting an officer w/o violence and property damage/criminal mischief. Her bond totals to $11,500.
