Man decapitates himself with toy model helicopter.

1aman decapitatedA 19-year-old New York City man has accidentally decapitated himself with his own remote-controlled helicopter.
The FDNY says Roman Pirozek Jr, was flying the chopper at a Brooklyn park Thursday afternoon when he lost control of it and the RC-device flew into his head.
The blades sliced off a piece of his skull – effectively scalping him, WNBC-TV reports.
He was dead at the scene when police arrived.
Pirozek was at Calvert Vaux Park in the Gravesend neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York, near Coney Island – a spot popular with model aircraft enthusiasts.
An aerial photo taken from a WNBC news chopper showed a Brooklyn detective examining the small toy, which landed on its rotor in the grass.
Police say the aircraft fell from the sky and hit him in the head on the way down.
At least three people were with the teen in the park when the accident happened.
Neighbors described him as an avid hobbyist who is frequently seen in the area flying his model helicopter.
His Facebook page reveals he was involved in at lease on New York remote-controlled helicopter club.
The helicopter that killed him appears to be a model made by Align, a Taiwanese company. The model helicopters cost anywhere from $300 to over $1,000 – depending on power, size and battery life.
