According to a report from TMZ, Tekashi 6ix9ine is allegedly under investigation by the NYPD to see if he had any hand in the attempting shooting of Chicago rapper Chief Keef.
Sources from the NYPD noted they wanted to find out if Tekashi has a connection to the two men who fired off at Chief Keef outside of the W Hotel in Times Square. At the time of the shooting, Tekashi was in Los Angeles, but police want to find out if he had a hand in giving the go-ahead on the hit.
Police reportedly have a video of two shooters via surveillance footage so far. NYPD noted the suspects showed up to a restaurant in downtown NYC where the Chicago rapper was hanging, then hopped into a Ford Econovan. From there, they drove to midtown, parked around the block from the rapper’s hotel, then walked to the hotel to wait for the rapper. Once Keef and a friend came outside for a cigarette, the suspects fired at them but only hit a sign close by.
The suspects reportedly got away, and their Econovan was found abandoned in Brooklyn.
