Barack and Michelle Obama's oldest daughter Malia will be attending Harvard in 2017, which the White House announced on Sunday (May 1).
A statement from the White House read, "The President and Mrs. Obama announced today that their daughter Malia will attend Harvard University in the fall of 2017 as a member of the Class of 2021. Malia will take a gap year before beginning school." Malia will be taking a year off from school, as she waits on her father to finish out his last year in office to start her college career.
Both Michelle and Barack attended law school at Harvard, and Malia will be following other presidential children who have went to the prestigious school, including Abraham Lincoln's son and George W. Bush.
