Looks like not every player got their Kobe sneakers signed.
Amid his retirement from a 20-year legacy in the NBA, Kobe Bryant has been optimistic and more than generous, signing pretty much any player or fan's sneakers who approach him for an autograph. Until last night no peculiar stories about the Mamba's departure had taken place — only this one that would also include his former Laker teammate Nick Young.
According to Laker source Darius Soriano, Young approached Bryant after his 60-point performance asking for an autograph on his sneakers, and ended up receiving a signature-less pair shoes.
"Nick Young said Kobe threw his Adidas in the trash & wouldn't sign them. Told Young to go get some Nike's for him to sign," tweeted Soriano.
What we're guessing Kobe didn't expect to receive was a pair of adidas, which is why the Mamba literally trashed them. Understanding that the two players are signed to two totally different sneaker brands that are also leading competitors to one another, it may have cost Kobe some money to sign Young's adidas. No further reports on the alleged interaction between the two have been announced.
Do you think Bryant would be out of line if he did actually throw away the adidas sneakers his teammate wanted him to sign?
