Friends Fear Mariah Carey Is An Emotional Mess Following Nick Cannon Break Up
Mariah Carey is not faring well post-breakup from hubby Nick Cannon, insiders claim.

According to a new report from OK! Magazine, friends are so worried about Carey, 45, they fear she could end up in the hospital soon if someone doesn’t intervene, and a source claims soon-to-be ex Cannon, 33, thinks his wife needs rehab.
“Nick wanted Mariah to go to rehab,” the source told OK! about Carey’s alleged habit of drinking champagne and taking anti-depressant pills.
“She has a different bond with Nick than any of the men she’s been with, and that’s why she’s taking this breakup even harder,” the source continued.
“She’s going to have a total breakdown if someone doesn’t intervene soon. She really needs help before she ends up in the hospital.”
As previously reported, Carey has allegedly been drowning her breakup sorrows in champagne.
“She stays up all night, looking at every frame of herself in every photo and dissecting it to death,” a source told Us Weekly, claiming Carey would sometimes stay up until 7 a.m. drinking prosecco.
In 2001 Carey reportedly suffered a breakdown that landed her in the hospital with self-inflicted wounds — four years after her split from hubby Tommy Mottola, who was said to be “mentally and emotionally abusive.”
Carey later denied any breakdown telling Good Morning America, “I was totally exhausted and I needed to go to sleep and I needed rest and I needed people to leave me alone… It wasn’t like I went schizo and needed to be put in a straitjacket or tried to kill myself, what they were saying.”
Pals, and Cannon, fear Carey could be in the same fragile state.
