March 20, 2018: Details from today’s school shooting are being released.
Early reports from the Sheriff show that an armed school safety officer got into a shootout with a student at Great Mills High School Tuesday morning.
Three people, including the shooter, were injured in the incident.
St. Mary County Sheriff Tim Cameron said the shooting happened in a hall. The male shooter fired at a female student, believed to be the shooter’s “girlfriend”. Another student was also hit and wounded in the hallway.
Then, according to the sheriff, the officer took down the shooter.
We’re told that the shooter and his girlfriend, are both in CRITICAL CONDITION.
