Tila Tequila Posts Anti-Immigrant Remarks Against Mexicans

Image: Tila Tequila Posts Anti-Immigrant Remarks Against Mexicans Image #2Former MTV reality show actress Tila Tequila is at it again with the polarizing remarks, drawing the ire of thousands after an anti-immigrant posting she hashtagged #SendThemBack on her Facebook page on Monday [June 6]. It is the second time in as many weeks that she has offended those south of the border, targeting Puerto Rican actress Jennifer Lopez on Twitter recently when she referred to her as "just a Mexican with money."
“Ain’t nuthin better than riding around Texas in my cowboy boots to hunt down these damn illegals!," Tila wrote, in the caption of a photo of herself in what commentators were quick to point out were actually not cowboy boots at all. To date the post has been shared by nearly 23,000 users, receiving over 12k angry emojis outnumbered by 32k likes, with nearly 30,000 comments, many of which tear into Tila for being an immigrant herself, and for the hypocrisy in having a Mexican alias per "Tequila."
It isn't the first time the war refugee, who fled from her native Singapore to Vietnam before coming to the U.S., has aired bigoted commentary. In 2013 the 34-year-old [whose real name is Thien Thanh Thi Nguyen] stirred up controversy when her Facebook account was suspended for posting a photo of herself standing before a photo of the Auschwitz concentration camp in Nazi garb. In a message she titled "Why I sympathize with Hitler" she wrote: "Here is a man who was not a coward, stood up for his country in a DESPERATE TIME OF NEED."
