Boxing king Floyd Mayweather said he saw what Justin Bieber did outside of a Westin Hotel in Cleveland on Wednesday night, and that he liked what he saw. "I don't know why Justin Bieber is out there fighting but uh, he's ready," the retired champ told TMZ on Thursday (June 9).
"At the end of the day people could say what they wanna say, Justin Bieber ain't no b--ch. He showed he got heart, he showed he ain't no b--ch. It's all respect," said Floyd.
Bieber's hands have taken many by surprise in a cellphone recording that shows him grab a bigger man by his collar, then respond to a mush with a flurry of blows before he is taken down. Six-five Lamont Richmond claims that the confrontation escalated when [an apparently intoxicated] Bieber called him a "motherf---er" after rejecting his request for an autograph. Richmond claims that only moments prior, he along with a couple of friends had been chatting with the star and that things appeared to be fine. While there is no confirmation as to what may have triggered the scuffle, Bieber has made it known that he will no longer oblige with requests for pictures or autographs. Richmond has reportedly met with lawyers and plans to sue.
Floyd and JB have been friends for years, dating back to when the undisputed champ invited Justin to hold his belts for him in the ring during the pre-fight introductions of his clash with Miguel Cotto in 2012. Bieber would be invited back in 2014, escorting Floyd down the aisle along with Lil Wayne, in anticipation of his bout with Canelo Alvarez.
