Whoopi Goldberg & Russell Simmons Support Chris Rock Hosting Oscars

Although Chris Rock is facing a lot of pressure to boycott this year's Oscars from celebrities like: 50 Cent and Tyrese, on the contrary, the comedian is also receiving support. The View's host, Whoopi Goldberg believes that raising this issue once-a-year will not solve on going race problems in Hollywood. She told her co-hosts, "Boycotting doesn't work, and it's also a slap in the face to Chris Rock." She explained that it's the productions companies that lack diversity in casting, "There's not a lot of support for little companies that make movies that may be more diverse than anything else, but you can't b**** about it just at Oscar time."

Finding another alternative to still create an impact without walking away from his obligation, Hip-Hop's OG Russell Simmons suggested that the comedian use his humor to address the race issue in Hollywood. "I'm not going wasn't invited lol. tell biting truthful jokes of how badly we need diversity in Hollywood management @chrisrock all love," Simmons tweeted.
