#1 -Tell us who is Alexander "Whoa" Burrell?
Im a Producer out of Ft Myers Florida music is my life if you ask anyone who knows me personally the first thing they will say is music, lol i been obsessed with music since i heard the thriller album when i was 5, my sister Ledy and I would rehearse to the song thriller in the garage when we were little kids all day i've noticed alot of people i went to school with have went the traditional routes, me i couldnt do it I wouldn't be happy if i wasnt following this path, i also have two kids and actually named my Daughter Melody.
#2 -Who are signed or contracted with?
Dean Little is my manager he is also the Ceo of Fine Media Ent Group we are working out of The Mix Factory Studios in Bonita Spring Florida getting ready to make some big moves.
#3- Who was your favorite producer growing up?
My influence as a kid was Manny Fresh ,The Neptunes when I heard Timbaland's tracks that he put out wit Aliyah I was a kid sitting in the car and I heard the drum patterns fell in love with beats and I started to become fascinated how they made rap beats because I always seen bands play guitars but at that point it was a mystery to me and I had to find out.
#4- How was your life growing up?
Growing up wasnt as bad as some had it but it also wasnt as good as some others had it. I lived most of my time in Lehigh Acres Florida which is a City Within the Fort Myers area. I also spent time in Oklahoma. Hanging out late at night at 13 I would hang out with a group of friends they would just be rapping I would just listen we used to be some bad ass little kids lol
#5- Which hip-hop decade was the hottest 80,90,00?
They all were good i believe Hiphop continues to evolve it becoming better many people don't like the change but personally I think the producer is making the songs now the producer is the star no disrespect to artist but the beats are shining right now, i like the early 2000's the best when the hotboys first came out, Dmx was making hits, and Eminem was just coming out.
#6- Whats the number one thing producers should do and not do in the industry?
Personally, I think we should start beat auction events where we invite producers to sell their tracks to artist highest bidders win..I don't think Beat makers/Producers should be handing over beats to just anyone one if your going to give an artist a beat make sure they push that track because other wise it would be in vain dont do the homeboy discount because it will not benifit your efforts.
#7- Where do you see yourself in the next 12-months?
I'm actually working on getting a major placement by the end of this year I want to hit #1 on the Billboards so I have been working hard. Day and night. definetly want to be in XXL 2014 Freshman Class for Producers that is a goal intend on making happen.
#8- Craziest Groupie Moment? no comment lol
#9- Whats your process for creating beats?
Depends I usually vibe to music it could be any genre too for at least an hour then I either lay down some drums or start off with the main melody its always different i just purchased a hookah too so ill have that going and ill sip on some Ciroc to get the mood going, sometimes my boy Colin will play some guitar chords going and we come up with ideas
#10- For people who haven't heard any of your beats, what are they missing?
It's something different
#11- Who are some of the highlighted artist you worked with?
Public Life Music Group Yung Phantom out of Florida who actually has a hit out in europe we are actually working on a Track together and another Artist Named JKing from ft Myers who is also creating a buzz
#12 - While excluding yourself, who is the hottest producer in the game, and who is the most overrated?
I'm really diggin Mike Will's recent tracks respect the grind.. Right now I don't really think there are any over rated producers because you only hear like 3 or 4 not really too many making noise right now the industry is changing usually a buzz would last a year or two now you see producers being hot for like 3 months and then never hearing anything new ever again
#13- New Projects Fill Us in?
Right now I'm getting my catalog built up so I can start shopping to the majors I really don't want to waste my time on the local scenes unless i really believe that the artist has that "It Factor".
