NY Gov Candidate CYNTHIA NIXON . . . Give Blacks WEED DISPENSARY LICENSES . .. As Reparations!!
The New York Governor's race just got a lot more interesting. The leading Democratic challenger has offered an interesting idea - reparations for Black people. But instead of MONEY or LAND, former Sex In The City star Cynthia Nixon is calling for giving WEED DISPENSARY LICENSES to Black people.
The idea - which is modeled after giving TAX FREE CASINOS to Native Americans - is being PANNED by the mainstream press. But not everyone is against it.
This morning THOUSANDS of Black people on social media seem to support the idea. Here are some of the comments.
@CynthiaNixon weed as a form of reparations to black is a great idea and something they already doing in California. Don't let these established dems fool you and other blacks about your message. Dont back off! Double down!

Cynthia is in the middle of a contested battle for the NY Governor's race against Andrew Cuomo. With her new stance, she may have just BOOSTED her support in the Black community.
Reports quoted Nixon as saying, “Arresting people–particularly people of color–for cannabis is the crown jewel in the racist war on drugs and we must pluck it down,” she said. “We must expunge people’s records; we must get people out of prison.”
The report continued, "as she walked off the stage, a crowd of people moved in to get Nixon’s attention. One man tried to give her a giant, multi-colored bong. (She demurred.) A woman–joint in mouth–attempted to get a selfie with her mid-puff. Her campaign staff tried to manage the crush of cameras surrounding her."
“It’s a racial justice issue because we’re incarcerating people of color in such staggering numbers,” she said.
According to Forbes:
Recent data from the NYPD revealed that black and brown people were nearly 10 times more likely to be arrested for pot possession last year, despite that white people are just as likely to use marijuana. People of color made up 86% of all marijuana arrests in 2017.
