(AllHipHop News) Can’t win ‘em all.
Kanye West has single-handedly become the topic of interest (or hate) among not only the hip-hop community but society as a whole.
Now, early Saturday morning at 9 a.m. sharp, Kanye’s most recent collaboration with Australian sportswear brand 2XU went on sale.
The result? An empty flagship store on Oxford St, Paddington.
Past track records have shown that any type of product launch with Kanye’s highly-coveted Yeezy brand is met with undivided attention and hoards of hypebeast fashion-lovers.
Unfortunately, the YEEZY x 2XU Season 6 capsule was met with the opposite: silence.
Expecting nothing short of a riot, 2XU had arranged a one-hour instore to follow the launch of this "extremely limited stock.”
The only thing missing? The customers.
The shop waited for about 45 minutes before shutting the event down.
"There’s been a change of direction from head office and unfortunately the event has been canceled," a rep for 2Xu said.
Even on Instagram, the hashtag #YEEZYx2XU had only been used 10 times. Yeezus.
