Kanye West best friend claims he told him "F*ck the youth of Chicago"
Rhymefest Says Kanye West Told Him "F**k the Youth of Chicago"
Che "Rhymefest" Smith has been working with Kanye West as a co-writer since the beginning of his career, but it wasn't until February of 2016, before the release of Kanye's The Life of Pablo album, that he decided to walk away from both their business relationship and friendship. He revealed in a series of Tweets that Kanye West needs both mental and spiritual aid/counseling and to ditch the yesmen he's acquired throughout his years of notoriety. Rhymefest also Tweeted the following, "I love my brother. I pray for his health not our entertainment."
Now he's decided to come forward in the midst of the brewing G.O.O.D Music/Drake beef to reveal some shocking information using his Twitter platform once again. The Tweet reads,
"@Drake when G.O.O.D. Music sends the money they owe you, will you please help us rebuild Kanye’s mother's house for the youth of Chicago. I spoke to Kanye about it. His response was “fuck the youth of Chicago.”
This statement is shocking being that Kanye's latest antics and rhetoric have been fueled by his supposed belief that Barack Obama did nothing for the city of Chicago and that he wants to rebuild the infrastructure for the city of Chicago's youth with the help of Donald Trump. It's also definitely hard to believe that Kanye would refuse to donate to a nonprofit organization named after his mother (Donda's House), especially with how big of an influence Donda West was on his music career and life.
If this is was said by Kanye behind closed doors, let's hope he gets the help he needs to restore the presence of his Chicago roots and heritage.
