R. Kelly has been named the subject of yet another criminal complaint from a woman who last week filed paperwork with Dallas police that alleges he "knowingly and intentionally" passed a sexually transmitted disease on to her four months ago. What's more, the R&B great is being leveled with accusations that he falsely imprisoned the alleged victim in the same way of those who've accused him of organizing a "sex cult."
According to court documents, a 19-year-old accuser, who Kelly dated between June of 2017 and February of 2018, alleges to have parted ways with the 51-year-old crooner after becoming fed up with what she claims to have realized were signs of “predatory, controlling and abusive behavior.” While the charges against Kelly place a particular focus on an intimate engagement that she believes was responsible for her contracting an STD back in December, she also notes in the complaint that he would give her drugs and alcohol, despite her being some years shy of the legal drinking age.
“Our client was the victim of several forms of criminal misconduct by Kelly, including, but not limited to, unlawful restraint, furnishing alcohol and illegal drugs to a minor, and aggravated assault (via the referenced intentional STD infection),” a press release issued to the public by the alleged victim's attorney read “These offenses occurred while our client was being groomed to join Kelly’s sex cult.”
Kelly is being accused of causing "serious bodily injury" to the claimant.
