Former Sheriff David Clarke has been in the news recently for allegedly plagiarizing his Master’s degree thesis. According to reports, the dean of Clarke’s school —the Naval Postgraduate School, said if Clarke doesn’t revise his thesis in 100 days, his degree would be revoked.
Despite the potential embarrassment of having your degree revoked, David Clarke is still pushing on with his rhetoric. Since then, Clarke has gone out of his way to criticize Colin Kaepernick and his stance on pledging allegiance to the flag during the national anthem. Kaepernick is currently not in NFL, as it has been suspected that he is being blackballedfor his actions last season. Despite not being in the league, Kaepernick made it clear that him kneeling during the national anthem was not just an act, and that he planned on putting his money where his mouth is. He made an effort to donate $900,000 out of $1 million to various organizations. Clarke feels otherwise about Kaepernick though and voiced his opinion on Twitter. He said “When I see Kaepernick in the hood mentoring young black males on making better lifestyle choices then I will know his sincerity. Opportunist.” Take a look above.
