Florida Rappers Robbed and Killed Drug Dealer for Money to Flash at Their Show
For some, the idea of appearing to have more than you really possess is more important than freedom, and now three fledgling rappers have paid the price for their desires to appear rich. Florida rappers Joseph Brandon, Jonathan Felix, and Dylan Kindred—aka Waxx, Killa, and DK were arrested for the alleged murder of Tyler Macklin over $300. The three young men used the money so they could flash what they stole at a club they were performing at—to look as if they had plenty of money. According to reports, one of the rappers even posted themselves showing off the money they took.
Macklin was a small-time drug dealer who was friends with the trio on Facebook. According to Grady Judd, the sheriff working the case, he said the trio viewed Macklin as an “easy lick,” leading them to rob the drug dealer. Judd said that Waxx and Killa went to Macklin’s home and walked in the place while Kindred waited in the car. Kindred heard gunshots ring off, then Waxx and Killa ran back to the car.
Shortly after, Kindred went and confessed to the crime, turning himself in and pinpointing the alleged murders of Macklin. Two of the members of the trio were charged with first-degree murder, armed robbery, armed burglary, and conspiracy. Kindred ended up being charged with conspiracy to commit armed robbery. All three of the young men have previous criminal records.
