Surprise! 50 Cent Discovers He Has a Son He has Never Met

Beleaguered rap star 50 Cent showed the world he has reason to smile, Saturday, all the while joking that the good news could very well make him want to cry. In a photo posted to the Power producer's Instagram page, a grinning 50 stands looking over a boy at his hip. The child, who appears to be around the age of 10 and shares a splitting resemblance with big Curtis, himself smiles refreshingly. As it turns out, 50 is confirmed to be the father of another offspring. It was their first time meeting one another.

"My life is full of surprises, this little guy is my son DAVIAN," the caption reads. "He started crying, I was thinking why you crying I gotta pay for this shit. LMAO."

Davian is boy number three for the Queens Entrepreneur. The identity of his mother has not been made public, but it is reasonable to assume that it is neither Shaniqua Tompkins, mother of his oldest, Marquise, nor model Daphne Joy, who mothered 3-year-old Sire. While Sire has enjoyed plenty of picture love on 50's IG page, the relationship between he and his first born has long been estranged; the result of a public fall-out with Tompkins. It is a hurtful chapter in Jackson's life, as the years leading up to their conflict told of a man with plans to be in his child's life. In an interview with Kam Williams some years back he professed a positive future with Marquise (now 19-year-old), stating: “When my son came into my life, my priorities changed, because I wanted to have the relationship with him that I didn’t have with my father.”

In moving forward with what appears to be the start of an involved role in Davian's life, 50 perhaps does face some hurdles as he deals with financial turmoil.  In July the rapper filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, reporting a debt of nearly $40 million dollars; the matter which he seemingly harbored on with reference to the additional child support expense he will now incur.
