Gunman Fatally Shot After Killing 3 and Injuring 14 in Kansas Shooting

A gunman identified as Cedric Ford and three victims are dead after a shooting in Kansas on Thursday (Feb. 25). Harvey County Sheriff T. Walton told reporters that 14 people were also injured, some critically, in a series of shootings which ended at Excel Industries, a local factory. Ford was reportedly shot and killed by the first officer on the scene at Excel. 
Walton added that the gunman, used a "long gun, something like an assault rifle" during the shootings, which was ruled out as an act of terrorism. Sheriff Walton told reporters that "There was some things that triggered this particular individual," but he declined to elaborate on the circumstances. According to Ford's Facebook page, he listed himself as a painter at Excel. 
This makes the 49th mass shooting in the United States in 2016.
