Apples removes games containing confederate flag

Amid a nation wide debate over the Confederate flag, Apple has removed civil war games containing the image, following Amazon and Walmart who have banned products baring the flag from being sold.
Both Ultimate General: Gettysburg and all the Hunted Cow were noticeably missing from the App Store, but the news doesn't come as a surprise to those who read Tim Cook's tweets following the recent South Carolina shooting. The Apple CEO wrote that the victims needed to be honored by "eradicating racism & removing the symbols & words that feed it."

We are not removing apps that display the Confederate flag for educational or historical uses."
Following Apple's statement, Andrew from HexWar Games spoke to Touch Arcade and insisted, "We're in no way sympathetic to the use of the flag in an offensive way, we used it purely because historically that was the flag that was used at the time."
Touch Arcade also added that sources close to Apple say that they are working with developers affected by the ban to help them remove or replace the Confederate flag.
