Florida Man Threatens Mom With Machete For Giving Grandma Sugar

Via Daytona Beach News Journal reports:

A 34-year-old man threatened his mother with a machete earlier this week after he blamed her for putting his grandmother in the hospital.

Kevin Bolden was angry because he said his mother Kennetha Bolden had given his grandmother too much sugar, an arrest report shows. Bolden grabbed a machete he had stored behind his bedroom door and told his mother, “(Expletive), I’m going to (expletive) you up with this machete,” the report shows.

Police said Bolden — who lives with his mother and sister at the 900 block of Verdell Street — was also upset because his mother came home from the hospital, then went out to buy herself a soda. The incident occurred after 1 a.m. Tuesday, police said.

Bolden, who was being held Wednesday at the Volusia County Branch Jail on $7,000 bail, was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and battery.
