Chris Brown is now in general population at a Virginia jail.

After serving time in solitary confinement at a Los Angeles County jail, Chris Brown is now in general population at a Virginia jail.
In the past month, Virginia crooner Chris Brown has made his way from a Malibu, California rehab center to a Los Angeles County jail, and now to Northern Neck Regional Jail in Virginia.
According to TMZ, Brown made his way to the Virginia jail this week after a five-day long trip from California.
Chris Brown Transferred To General Population In Virginia JailTMZ also reports that the singer, who spent a portion of his time at the Los Angeles County jail in solitary confinement, was placed in limited general population with no restrictions at the Virginia facility.
Due to the lack of restrictions in limited general population, Brown can use the facility’s telephones, television, and library, and can also take daily showers and meals in the cafeteria.
He will remain at Northern Neck Regional Jail until he appears in court on April 23 in Washington, D.C. Brown’s upcoming court appearance stems from an assault case he was struck with while in D.C. late last year.
While outside of the W Hotel in Washington, D.C. last year, the singer allegedly punched a man and called him a gay slur after the man he assaulted and another man attempted to get in a picture with him and two women. As a result of the incident, Brown was hit with a misdemeanor assault charge.
Brown’s altercation in Washington D.C. and his current jail sentence serves as just one of a number of legal maladies the singer has faced over the past couple of years. His probation was revoked last December due to his D.C. incident and in February of this year, Brown was sued by a man he allegedly assaulted during a basketball game.
