Cops Find Xanax Pill During Jermaine Dupri Traffic Stop

Jermaine Dupri had a wild night in Miami Beach after he was pulled over by police because the tint in his Lincoln was apparently too dark.



The incident occurred at 3:24am this morning, December 27th.  The police on the scene reported that they detected "a strong odor of marijuana" coming from vehicle, which prompted them to pull Jermaine and the rest of the passengers out of the car to be searched.  No marijuana was discovered, but one of Jermaine's associates was carrying a small plastic container with a Xanax pill inside.


The discovery of the pill only made matters worse aroused the suspicions of the police enough to bring K-9 units in to more thoroughly search the car. However, no further contraband was discovered.

Although the car was clean, police still went after the man who had the Xanax pill, although he insisted that he had a prescription for it.  They allowed one of his other friends to go to the man's home and bring back documentation proving that he had a right to be in possession of the pill, and they were all set free.

According to a tweet Jermaine sent to TMZ, a total of five police cars came to the scene.
