50 Cent Accused of Kicking His Ex-Girlfriend, Trashing Her Home

Curtis Jackson, better known as 50 Cent, has been charged with kicking a woman he dated for three years and with whom he shares a child.
The "In Da Club" rapper is accused of committing one misdemeanor count of domestic violence and four misdemeanor counts of vandalism during an argument on June 23, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Police officers, who responded to a call from a condo in the Toluca Lake section of L.A., say that after the woman locked herself in her bedroom, Jackson, 37, kicked down the door and then kicked her. They also reported seeing broken chandeliers and broken furniture, as well as a broken TV and lamp in the ransacked bedroom.
"Regardless of perceived celebrity or notoriety, domestic violence is a serious crime and alleged perpetrators will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law by this office," L.A. City Attorney Mike Feuer said in a statement. "We will continue to look out for the safety of all victims of domestic violence and seek justice for the alleged crimes."
Jackson faces up to five years in jail if he's convicted, as well as $46,000 in fines for injuring the woman and another $7,100 in property damage stemming from the incident.
