MEET LIBERATED AUDIO CEO
30 year old Clarissa Antoinette, Founder/CEO of Liberated Audio online radio station. She grew up in the Greenlaw neighborhood of North Memphis, moving to Whitehaven while in Jr. High School and attended Hillcrest High School. While there she would meet Jay Reed who would later become Co-Founder/President of Liberated Audio. After years of various work opportunities including, Hotel Management, Human Resources, Finance, Event Management , and Sales and Marketing, Clarissa decided to put all of those skills to use to create an outlet for one thing she held near and dear to her- Memphis Music. Liberated Audio came about in 2010 when Clarissa was thinking to herself that she really has a high level of distaste for the music culture in Memphis that was on a mainstream level and a lack of respect for local stations for not giving the underground artist that were worth it a fighting chance. From 2010-2012, Clarissa brainstormed and worked on perfecting what at the time would be HearSay Radio which was a collaborative of Music and Talk. Career demands and motherhood would halt the execution of HearSay until November of 2012. On November 9, 2012 after months of planning, Clarissa held the "Friends 4 Shaye" benefit for a local woman and childhood friend suffering from an unknown condition. It was there she would meet investors that saw her production work on the benefit concert and wanted to work with her. She decided to take time to revisit HearSay. After a month of work, losing the investors, and other personal hardships, she reached out to he childhood friend and Hip-Hop Enthusiast Jay Reed. Together, they re-branded HearSay to what is now Liberated Audio. Liberated Audio is an online, on demand radio station that caters to local, underground music artist. It provides a media outlet of music and various talk shows all designed with young, urban professionals in mind. In additional to Liberated Audio, Clarissa also has 4rd Girl Productions(pronounced Ford which is her maternal last name)- A artist management label, Liberated Cares- A non-profit organization that focuses on helping other charities raise money and saving music programs in inner city schools, and Planning Perfectionists which is an upscale event planning service. All of which are under the Liberated Entertainment, LLC umbrella. While Liberated Audio is in the Top 20 R&B/Urban Stations and Top 10% Overall on the Live365 Network(LA can also be found on TuneIn Radio and coming this fall to iTunes Radio), Clarissa and her staff dedicate themselves to continuously raising the bar and promises that Liberated Audio will always be committed to providing quality programming.
