AcDutch Album Review :MACHO

Macho starts off with a sinister playing piano. With an oldschool WWE bit to play high on the album's title. The bass kicks in hard as Macho man fades unto the background. Welcome to the official album review MACHO.

Free DownLoad And Review Inside
AcDutch starts off strong. The first song kicks off hard with loud bass, and corky similes. The song is brought to you with a heavy delivery, which really compliments the flow of the beat. The chorus is strong and meant to be energetic, a jump a strength picks up your mood and there is just a strong bounce to the song. Alot, of WWE clips of MachoMan is placed throughout the song and are very well placed. The second song "TURN UP" does exactly that, turn up. The energy kicks up even more than the first song. The chorus is dubbed extremely heavy which adds to the vibe. The verse is delivered well and clear. The punchlines are dropped enough for you to respect Dutch's word play. The song surpasses criteria these types of songs usually don't go for and that what we love. Mac Gutta a featured artist, did the chorus and his voice compliments it all. Strong, Raspy, and doesn't crack under pressure as these songs can be difficult to rap. It ends with another MachoMan snippet, which feels out of place even with the themed album. It leads on into "Mind on Money"  which slows down and brings a different vibe, just off the instruments. The chorus starts off and it immediately has a "RADIO Sound" which isn't a good thing. The song is just too sloppy, and the use of autotune is not on point. The Chorus is sung by Promise, and the chorus just doesn't grab any vibes. The chorus is packed on with alibs, and back voice, that makes it even more unbalanced. The verse's aren't as appealing as what we previous heard from Dutch, and the song was a missed attempt for the album. "MOB" kicks off hard, and Dutch goes back to the format up from the earlier songs. This song hits perfectly,  the chorus is infectious and plays in unison with the instrumental. The verses layed down by GC Enternal (featured artist) and Dutch are grand. They hold the song perfectly and play off the struggle of the inner city youth. It has a clear, uncensored word play that is attractive to hear and also intriguing. Move down to "LIVE NOW" which has a vibe that different form Dutch usually style. Its refreshing and Dutch finally hits us with lyrics that has a personally connection to him and the artist. The chorus is sung well, and has a vibe that is unmatched. The instrumental is one the best on the album and switches at perfect times to create a great transition from emotions. "Boogie Man" starts off starts off the with a direct chorus leaving little to desire. But, as the song goes it has a vibe that all matches well. Dutch flow and his altered voice compliments the vibe he was going for. Its just all done so well, the topic is not unpolished and verses seem to steer where ever they may. Boogie man is one those records you just like, but its hard to know why. Maybe because its done so well and is rap well formed and produced excellent. Just don't deliver alot to desire as in far of a chorus. Which honestly is what Dutch was going for, a song that would stick, and it sure did. Which move into "You aint no Gangsta" which is a direct in your face song. LaChat is featured on the chorus, and she delivers a perfect chorus line. Its Memphis oozing from this record, and its extremely reminiscent to the rap legends "TRIPLE SIX MAFIA" glory days. The song is all around entertaining with the street core leading the charge. Dutch is at home on this record, his voice, flow, topic fits in well and never drops its street style. Mac Gutta drops a verse the compliments the song, he delivers the on-going topic of rappers wanting to be harder, more gangster, more hood than they really is. His verse is relevant and makes the song stronger as a whole. "Danger" the last song the album is possibly the best record on the album. It has the most soul and heart out of every song. The beat is mystic and Dutch delivers a rap scheme that starts off entertaining. The chorus is sung, by Dutch and its done in such a strength the it actually touches you. It's a true passion in the record, and its the premiere sound of Dutch. This song is definitely the one. MACHO is a macho album. Strong lyrics, high energy, high emotions. But the emotions are directly mostly in one aspect. Which dampers the album, it holds us back from knowing the Dutchman more personally. We wish it wasnt so many club bangers on the album. But, what kind of complaint is that? This album has songs that could easily have the club, radios spinning for a hour. Dutch does crunk, raw, dark music well. But he didnt give us a opportunity to know how or if he could do other types of songs. Machoman skits are well placed, although it was way more than expected. It felt good that he took the time to dedicate the album well. We hope to hear Dutch rap style venture further next LP but, for this crunk style he is someone you might not want to step in the ring with.
