Woman suffocated and threw her baby away at Amazon. Only charged with unlawful disposal

According to police, a 22-year-old Arizona woman threw her newborn baby into the trash in an Amazon Center bathroom.

The woman—Samantha Vivier reportedly said she was unaware that she was pregnant and that she “panicked” after giving birth to the child on January 17 while at the Amazon distribution center. According to the woman, she wrapped the newborn up in a plastic bag and put the child in the trash of the facility’s bathroom. Vivier also claimed that she threw the baby away in an attempt “to hide the birth from the father of the baby.”

Vivier was charged with unlawful disposal of human remains.
