Famed music journalist Touré is the latest celebrity to be accused of sexual harassment after a makeup artist named "Dani" accused Touré of making sexually charged statements to her while they were working for the People/Entertainment Weekly show.
She first caught attention after commenting on a post advertising Touré's appearance on The Clubhouse with Mouse Jones podcast. Dani wrote, "I worked with him most of 2017, I left in October, before he left." She then added that she reported Touré to human resources before she left the job and he was promptly fired.
Dani claims that Touré reached out on Instagram to apologize, and she shared the alleged messages online. Touré then responded with a statement through his rep, which read, "On the show, our team, including myself, engaged in edgy, crass banter, that at the time I did not think was offensive for our tight-knit group. I am sorry for my language and for making her feel uncomfortable in any way. As a lead on the show, I should have refrained from this behavior. I have learned and grown from this experience."
