Student Who Says "I'm a N****r" in Blackface Video Kicked Out of Sorority
A sorority in Oklahoma released a statement saying they are kicking one of the students out of their organization after she posted a video of her in blackface saying “I’m a n****r” on her Snapchat.
The video was posted to Twitter by someone who exposed the whole ordeal. Since then, the Tri-Delta chapter President London Moore addressed the issue in a statement, saying “Chapter leadership has met and appropriate actions has been taken. The woman who participated in, filmed and posted the video is no longer a member of our organization.” The woman in the video was identified as Francie Ford.
The University of Oklahoma also issued a statement saying “We were made aware of an inappropriate and derogatory video circulating on social media of two OU students. The University of Oklahoma abhors such conduct and condemns the students’ actions and behavior in the strongest terms possible. While students have the freedom of expression, the negative impact of such conduct cannot be underestimated. The students have offered to apologize in order to reflect their regret.”
