Arrest made in murder of former Memphis Grizzlies player Lorenzen Wright

Related imageRecently finding what they believed to be the murder weapon in the 2010 killing of former NBA big man Lorenzen Wright, police finally got a break in the case after years of dead ends. And on Tuesday, police arrested a man who they believe may have murdered Wright.
According to the Commercial AppealBilly Turner was arrested and charged with first-degree murder:
A man has been arrested and charged with murder in the killing of Lorenzen Wright, the basketball standout whose body was found in 2010 and whose slaying has remained a mystery for years, according to a document.
Billy Turner, 46, has been charged with first-degree murder. According to a document, he was indicted Tuesday. The Multi Agency Gang Unit saw him leave a house in the 4700 block of Waterfront Oak Drive, get into a vehicle and travel to the Collierville Express Mart on Highway 72. He was then arrested.
The Commercial Appeal notes that Wright's murder was one of the "highest-profile unsolved murders" in Memphis.
Playing 13 seasons in the NBA from 1996-2009, Wright spent the majority of his career with the Clippers, Hawks and Grizzlies. Wright retired in 2009 after playing 17 games with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
