2 Chainz Seemingly Not Happy About Being Left Off Eminem's Revival
Eminem has been receiving a lot of backlash from hip-hop critics during the rollout of his ninth studio album, Revival, set to release December 15th. Much of the negativity is a result of the project's lack of rap features. The tracklist includes artists such as Ed Sheeran, Alicia Keys, Pink, and Beyoncé, who was featured on the lead single "Walk on Water."
Based off of interviews given earlier in the year, 2 Chainz alluded to the idea that he will feature on Eminem’s upcoming album, and even posted a picture of the two which seemed to indicate this guest appearance to be true.
“That’s how I know I can rap,” 2 Chainz said in an interview with DJ Drama, referring back to a studio session with Eminem. “When it was over, Eminem came in and said ‘Man, how the hell did you rhyme tabernacle with Adam’s apple?’”
Once the final tracklist hit the web, his absence was noticed immediately by the public, and by the Pretty Girls Like Trap Music artist himself. 2 Chainz decided to express his frustration through an Instagram post, which he captioned with three expressive emojis.
The image has since been removed from his social media and replaced with a message which read, "Grateful for the opportunity ,new music on the way !"
