May 17, 2017: Lela Rochon, best known for her roles in Boomerang and Waiting to Exhale, checked her messages on her phone after getting in a workout this afternoon.
Lela is now 53 years old and has been acting steadily since she first came on the scene in 1984. She was last seen on the CBS short-lived series Training Day, playing Justin Cornwell character’s mom. Her husband, Antoine Fuqua, actually directed the movie on which the TV series was based.
Lela married film director Antoine in 1999. Together, they have two children.
