Davorius Gray Dies Playing The Pass-Out Challenge

Children nationwide are still playing the “pass-out game” now dubbed the “pass-out challenge”, with deadly results.
An Upstate mother is warning parents to monitor their children’s social media after she says her 11-year-old son died playing a pass-out challenge game online.
Davorius Gray was found dead in his home last week.
His mother, Latrice Hurst, said her son was playing games called hangman and pass-out challenge where kids choke themselves to the point of passing out.
In a statement released through her pastor, Latrice said it is apparently a widely popular game.
“If I could rewind time, I would go back and heavily monitor his use of social media, YouTube and the Internet,” Latrice said. “I would just say, I don’t believe young people should be on social media and it should be limited to adults, or at the very least, with extreme adult supervision — where the parents can see everything that takes place on the sites — should be a requirement.”
Latrice said her son showed no signs of depression or destructive behavior, but was “a prankster and loved to play tricks.”
“This tragic loss of my son has opened up dialogue between students and teachers, students praying and our community coming together, understanding the only healing is through a relationship with Jesus Christ,” Latrice said.
