What's Happening in Memphis: IM BACK!!!!

Its been a long time yall!

My life has been crazy hectic, but I am back to discuss whats poppin in these Memphis Streets!

This time I want to take a different approach.  While I was lying in bed eating lucky charms, I fell up on the show “The Best thing I ever ate” which is show where a host of different people tell you their favorite place to get a particular item and it. I loved the idea of that.   I don’t wanna do full reviews, instead I just want to tell you about the awesome ish. That prevents me from having to post negative stuff, and I still get to promote places and food that I love that might not be fully up to par in some other areas but still deserve checking out.

Hopefully you guys will like the new format.  I am also still open to any foods, places or events to try out so hit the comments and let me know!

For now I will leave you with a few of my favorite things to hear/see/eat

Cheesecake from Evergreen Grill.  Any of them. All of them. But my absolute faves are Banana Pudding, Red Velvet and Peach Cobbler.  1545 Overton Park.  

Chai Tea latte and orange Nutella scone and/or the Salmon and capers bagel   from Café Eclectic.   Get the scone heated.  Thank me later 

Greek Burger from P & H on Madison.  The bar is smoky, and hipster but the burger is delicious and cheap.  Plus the have late night karaoke on Friday.  https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-PH-Cafe/39109396918

Stuffed burger and greens from Mot and Eds on Madison.  Call it in because of the time to cook.  

Chicken and Dressing from Peggy’s  on Cleveland.    Yes.  And  More Yes.  

Fried Fish or Cajun chicken  and peach cobbler from  At the Bistro on Millbranch.  That peach cobbler should have been one of the gifts the wise men brought for Jesus.  Fish is cooked to order so there’s a wait but each time I’ve had it.. it was well worth it. 

Crawfish Pimento cheese Fries from Lafayettes on the Square  Just an oozy, amazing, amount of awesome in a cast iron skillet. 

Fish Taco’s from Elwood’s Shack. On summer, Facing Lowes.  THIS is food art, from the exceptionally flavorful tortilla to the perfectly cooked fish.. these tacos are literally the stuff dreams are made of.. well mine at least. 

Carne Asada Fries from Elena’s Taco Shop on summer.  Did you read?  Carne. Asada. Fries. Like Nachos but with Fries.  Epic.

Phillip Ashley’s Chocolates.   Literally, Chocolate works of art.  Nuff Said.  

Chocolate Tart from Tart on cooper.  Simple. Decadent, Chocolate. Delicious
