Croatian Model Stabbed Her Twin Sister Over Man They Both Liked
Forget about doubling your pleasure when it comes to Croatian twins Sara and Dajana Grkovic. The two are in double trouble, with one facing attempted murder charges after being arrested and the other hospitalized in stable condition after being sent to the intensive care unit with a deep stab wound to the chest and to her thigh.
The pair apparently had some jealousy issues — mostly over looks but also apparently there was some competition over Dajana’s new boyfriend, who they’d both liked.
Sara is the one with the necklace on (the arrested alleged stabber) and Dajana has the white shirt on.
According to NY Daily News reports:
Sara Grkovic, 22, and her twin sister Dajana Grkovic lived together with their mother in the northern Croatian port city of Rijeka where neighbors said they were always polite and friendly.
But police were called after hearing a violent row that ended with Sara plunging a kitchen knife into her twin sister leaving her critically injured and fighting for her life.
One neighbor told local TV: “They were always immaculately groomed and polite, and as alike as two peas in a pod. I never knew which one was passing me in the corridor but they always said hello.
“They were apparently arguing about a man that they both liked. He seems to have settled down in a relationship with Dajana and Sara was not happy about it. I never would have thought it would come to her trying to kill her sister though.”
She said that she did not often see the two girls together although they lived together, and thought that despite the fact they were identical twins there was an element of jealousy between the two over who was the more attractive, which seems to have spiralled out of control in the latest row.
She said: “Both of them were stunning, I don’t think they worried about competition from other women, but they were certainly jealous of each other.”
Their divorced mother had apparently left them alone in the flat after going to Germany for work, and the father had had nothing to do with the two girls or his ex-wife after the divorce – including not paying any maintenance according to family friends.
One told local media: “They had been a bit wild since their mother went away, and they were left to their own devices. But we never thought it would come to something like this.”
Wow. Wonder if dude knew he created such issues before the stabbing happened. Do you think maybe they’d already both let the guy hit?
