NAYA RIVERA: SHOWERING EVERY DAY IS A 'WHITE PEOPLE THING'
Actress and singer Naya Rivera appeared on The View this morning and made quite the controversial statement, saying that she believes White people bathe more often than "ethnics" do and that showering every day is a "White people thing."
In the clip, The View co-host Rosie O'Donnell calls on an African-American woman in the audience who looked stunned by Rivera's claim. When asked if she was a "frequent showerer," the woman shook her head yes, as if to say Rivera clearly wasn't speaking for her. Naya defended her remarks by saying her mother is a half African-American and half Puerto Rican woman who does shower every day, so she feels she has the right to make that statement, and that since marrying her white husband, Ryan Dorsey, she's noticed he takes two or three showers a day and went on to mock his habit, saying she often asks why he feels the need to clean himself so often.
