20 Students Injured In Multiple Victim Stabbing At High School Near Pittsburgh
Prayers up right now for a number of injured students who were victims of a stabbing incident at a school near Pittsburgh.
20 students were stabbed Wednesday morning at Franklin Regional Senior High School in Murrysville, about 15 miles east of downtown Pittsburgh, according to CNN reports.
Authorities have revealed they have a male student in custody being questioned. He was reportedly armed with a knife.
Dan Stevens, an emergency management agency spokesman said that four of the injured students were flown by helicopter to a local hospital. The school is currently releasing students to their parents following the incident, Stevens also said.
Dr. Chris Kaufmann at Forbes Regional Hospital in Monroeville, Pennsylvania, spoke to CNN on air. He said the facility is treating seven teens with stab wounds to their torso, abdomen, chest and back areas. He said that the injuries were “quite serious” and that “some are clearly life-threatening.” An adult is also being treated there, he said.

The latest updates say 20 people have been injured, seven who have life threatening injuries. The victims range in age from 14 to 17-years-old.
