Chief Keef gets a multi-movie deal from interscope
Is 2014 the year rappers project their lives onto the silver screen? To Chief Keef and Lil B it most certainly is. Lil B's documentary entitled "Basedworld" is set to be released September 2014 and according to its IMDB page, the synopsis is "[Basedworld] is a unique expose on the bay area rapper as he navigates his way through the world living the positive "based" lifestyle. This is an uplifting story of hope and perseverance and shines a light on one of america's brightest new stars." Chief Keef, on the other hand, recently tweeted "What city's should I choose to perform shows for my new movie Fans and Promoters help out Promo for yo city Turn up 8475088045 8475087965".
The skinny on Lil B's forthcoming "Basedworld" documentary is that it began three years ago, when a trailer surfaced for a doc with the title. The project's listed director, Ethan Higbee, Instagrammed a photo from the editing room this week, which indicated that he was working with some footage.
As for Chief Keef's foray into film, Fakeshore Drive reports that Interscope head Jimmy Iovine is said to have given Sosa a multi-movie deal through the label's motion picture division. Chief Keef is still currently situated in Los Angeles, finishing up his court-ordered rehabilitation for failing a drug test.
