Man Burns To Death While Trying To Steal Gas

A California man whom family members said was known to steal gas on occasion apparently got a fatal dose karma when he was allegedly attempting to do it again recently and his vehicle exploded.

This wasn’t the first time that Richard Glover, a man in his 50s, allegedly tried to steal gas from a gas station. His family told CBS he was burned in the past trying to steal gas and that they’ve been begging him to stop doing it.

But on Tuesday, he left home before his wife awoke and went to a gas station in South Los Angeles, CBS reports in the video above. He paid for gas at a pump and then drove to the back of the gas station.

That’s where his van exploded and he burned to death. Once firefighters put out the flames, authorities discovered two 55-gallon tanks inside the van, as well as a pump and an inch-wide water hose leading from the van to an underground tank.

It’s sad and senseless that this man had to lose his life this way. He definitely should have listened to his family.
