Deadly Shooting At North Miami Baby Shower

Via CBS Miami reports:
One man was killed in a shooting at a baby shower in North Miami.
It happened Sunday evening, around 8:30 p.m., at the Gwen Margolis Community Center in the 1500 block of NE 123rd Street.
North Miami police have not released the name of the man who they said appeared to be in his 20s. No one else was injured.
Witnesses told CBS4 there was chaos after the shooting as dozens of people, including children, ran out of the building in fear for their lives.
“I see a lot of people running everywhere, running and screaming. I see a lot of people running to the bank. They say a lot of people were running to the back,” said Aliah Tatuck. “It was really, really scary. Like you making a baby shower, thinking like everybody, everything is going to be okay like that. I feel really sorry for that woman.”
Tatuck said she feels sorry for the children who witnessed the shooting.
“Imagine you as a mother, or you know, me as a mother coming to a party with my kids, and seeing this kind of stuff, that’s really scary,” said Tatuck.
Police questioned many of the people who attended the shower. It’s still unclear what prompted the shooting or the man’s relationship to the people at the shower.
