Poetry: Cafe Cool by AceMillion
Café Cool
By

The dark red lights blended in with
the smooth sax
Cigar smoke, and never ending dancing
trance your spirit.
Stares for across the room, I used to
own the crowd.
Distant laughter, broke silence of
the slightly sip coffee
The ringing door bell brings little
comfort, as more enter
Are they blind or am I invisible?
Here I stand a shade of what I used
to be.
I need a menu I forgotten what I used to eat.
I need a menu I forgotten what I used to eat.
As the sun rose this morning it all
changed.
But it ran through my veins for so
many moons.
Life’s standing ovation turn to blank
stares.
Contrast to the dark its hard catch
the rhythm
Its seems I lost it all, I’m reaching
for my past
Cause in the fast lane you don’t see
the crash.
And what used to be so sweet has a
bitter taste.
Fallen from grace you welcomed
visitors into the soul.
They littered on your mind and left
your conscience cold.
Now you shaking vacant from the warm.
The distant screams cant break the
silence.
There’s no penalty for this serenity.
Give me back my identity or let me
die.
I paid my tab now let
me fly.
