The decades-old beef between Lil Kim and Foxy Brown could be reigniting.
The “Ill Na Na” rapper took to Instagram over the weekend to throw shade at Kim using the video of Nicki Minaj paying homage to Lauryn Hill. “I Laugh When They Say She Never Gives It Up to The “GREATS” Cuz She’s Humbly Bowed To Both# LBOOGIE (My fav)& #FOXBOOGIE Publicly! Maybe Y’all Mad Bitches Just Aren’t Who She Considers “The Bar”— FYI: Nic Knows I’d Never Thro My “WO” On No Collabo Wit Less Than Greatness Tho,” Foxy wrote. Nicki Minaj and Lil Kim have had their fair share of issues in the past, but lately, they’ve both been pretty quiet. They’ve even released tracks going at one another including Kim's “Black Friday.” Nicki’s taken a more subliminal approach when it comes to her bars against the Biggie protege.
However, Nicki seemed to pay homage to Kim in a 2013 interview with Hot 97 when naming her short list of favorite female emcees. “When Remy came out, I was very, very excited about her,” she said. “With Foxy, Kim, and Remy, they were all from New York too, but it’s no disrespect to any other female rappers.” Foxy and Kim went at it back in the late 90s/early 2000s. The Lil one dissed Foxy on the title track off the “Notorious K.I.M” album over tensions stemming from a failed collaboration album between the two. Foxy responded to her on Capone and Noreaga’s “Bang Bang.” The track even caused a shoot-out between Kim and Capone’s crew at Hot 97.  Foxy proposed a sit down between the two shortly after, but it never happened. They have continued taking jabs at each other throughout the years.
