Drake’s “Views” is the first album to ever reach over one billion streams on Apple music.
It's easily the most successful project ever to be released through the platform. He was awarded a plaque for the feat by Apple execs. “Thank you to everyone. OVO Sound to the @applemusic,” wrote Drake while sharing a picture of the plaque on Instagram. Regarding sales, the album was certified triple platinum last month after selling three million copies. He’s released a slew of singles from it including “One Dance,” "Too Good,” “Controlla,” and “Child’s Play.” Drake even starred in a new short film that was released exclusively on Apple music today that was inspired by “Views” titled “Please Forgive Me.”
“Views,” formally known as “Views From the 6” was announced back in 2014. It is the follow-up to Drake’s “Nothing Was the Same” which was released in the fall of 2013.
